Our project focuses on implementing an abstractive text summarization system specifically designed for the Malayalam language. The core objective is to process input text in Malayalam and generate concise, contextually relevant summaries in the same language, addressing the unique linguistic and cultural nuances of Malayalam speakers. Although we encountered challenges during the backend development, hindering the full implementation of our system, we have successfully established the front-end of our website. Users can interact with an intuitive interface, inputting Malayalam text and receiving summaries. Despite setbacks, our team is actively engaged in error analysis and debugging to overcome technical issues and bring the complete functionality of our abstractive summarization system to fruition. What distinguishes our project is its exclusive emphasis on abstractive Malayalam text summarization, catering to the linguistic diversity often overlooked in existing solutions. We remain dedicated to resolving challenges and delivering a robust solution that contributes significantly to language processing capabilities for regional languages like Malayalam.
