Project Manager TinkerSpace

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic people person who is willing to work as a Program Manager - the face of Tinkerspace, who will be core responsible person to create and manage our community at Tinkerspace.

TinkerSpace is the first Hub of its kind where anyone could walk in and learn exponential technologies and coding for free. The space is set up and run by startup entrepreneurs and technologists from the state who have created a great future through learning and building technology.

What you will do

TinkerSpace is first of its kind tech collabration space in Kerala, where people from different domains cames together to explore technology and build together. Check out our Instagram to get a vibe.

Community Management

• TinkerSpace is a first of its kind community space, as the model & culture for new to many people, you are responsible to create an accessible and welcoming space for people to start exploring technology.
• You will have to oversee and understand who walks in to the space and provide active guidance to students, members or patrons on how/when/why to get involved.
• Understand what they are doing and make it easier for them to connect with mentors within our network and keep track of their learning progress.
• Create engaging experiences and activities for different stakeholders of the space. Like creating a new event to experience the power of AI [ with the help of community ] or keep the patrons updated about the new activities.
• There will be various events hosted at the space by Tinkerhub or our partner communities, you are expected facilitate and host end to end activities of those events.
• TinkerSpace also has a small maker space for the community members to experiment with projects involving hardware and robotics.

Space Management

• Making sure the space is running smoothly, resources are available and maintained.
• Overseeing space team and their activities - Security & Cleaning staff
• Making reports of activities
• Social media contents and general space management responsibilities.

Technology Curiousity

As the space is all about how to advance tech inclusively, having a keen interest in technology is a key. Basic Coding skills are a mandatory as the manager is expected to help out people to start coding, understand the type of projects and tech stacks members are working on and when needed connect with relevant mentors. As the role is not a developer role, basic understanding and interest would do.

• Monthly salary of 30-40K, depends on the technical/cultural fit.

Note : This is a Full time paid job, expected to work 10AM to 6PM offline at Tinkerspace, Kalamassery. Saturdays and Sundays will be working days as community is most active on weekends at space. You can take a day off between Monday - Thursday

Who are we looking for

• Females preferred to have a gender balance in the team.
• 1-2 years of work experience working with technology.
• A people person who connects with community members in solving their tech problems and and connecting with mentors when needed.
• A clear communicator with good spoken and written skills in English, speaking proficiency in Malayalam is mandatory.
• Who can write contents and documents & manage social media for the tinkerspace and associated events.

Summary

Position: Full Time Remuneration : 3.6LPA to 5LPA Tech background is mandatory
